Can't center a photo

Once a photo is added to the background, you can no longer center it to make it fit in the project correctly. I used to be able to move a photo up or down so I could see the entire head of the dog. Thanks for any help you can provide. I really like Adobe Express and use it as part of my volunteer duties. Thank you!

Is your image set to background rather than being a layer? If so, try this:

1. Click on the background image.

2. In the panel on the left hand side choose Detach page background.

3. When you've finished your edit, leave as a simple layer. You can lock this layer to prevent moving it accidentally - look for the little padlock in the Image panel, just to the side of the word Image.
