Cannot add text

I am deeply embedded in creating a flyer on a deadline and i cannot alter the text to the template you provided even though I have Adobe Ckous without upgrading to premiere. Why do you tell me now? After I have already invested so much time? This is what Adobe does. Constantly trying to seel you new platforms making it nearly impossible to use your existing one or to know which platforms actually come with you expensive packages. It is so unweildy and illogical. It makes me not like ANY adobe products, such a bad taste gets left.
