cant unpublish; cant update?

i can't unpublish the original, but people are being told the wrong information with outdated links now that i can't update it. this has caused me so many issues. I didn't know my ads and clients were all being sent to the wrong address because of this update that makes the original uneditable, un-removable, and still live for outdated links and people that bookmarked the adobe page instead of the original forwarding address!>! ahhhh please help!
