Converting to gif decreases the dimensions of the source file

I would like the gif to stay the same dimensions as my original video, even when I select high quality for the conversion it still decreases the dimensions. Eg. my 1080x1080 mp4 converts to a 462x462 gif.

If it "often results in decreased dimensions" ? What do you mean by "often"? and Why does it "often" happen?
I've been having the same problem as @jenny-bean jenny-bean this month (August)

Would it have something to do with Express not being able to handle the larger files - just a thought

Hi

@jenny-bean

,

I would like to inform you that converting to GIF format often results in decreased dimensions of the source file, which is an expected behaviour.

Regards,

Tarun
