Diacritics not correctly converted from illustrator file to express

Using an adobe font(Azo sans) that has proper support for the diacritics used, f. ex. (U+0218)

But in the conversion to adobe express, those characters look wrong - even though express also supports the font with the correct characters(if I copy paste them again)
