Download failed because of stock assets

I get the error message attached when trying to download my video, however I've checked and I cannot see any red error icons anywhere in my file? How are you supposed to find the offending asset?

I've followed the advice in the forum and gone to license history but I do not have an ID code to put in there?

Thanks in advance.

For anyone else who is not having success getting help ... I ended up looking at each of the icons in my file. I checked the Source Info of each by right clicking on each icon. I searched the asset ID in Adobe Stock and came across one that did not return the same icon that was in my file (oddly, seemed that the asset ID of another icon in my file "transferred" to the other icon). Regardless, swapped it for something similar and was (finally) able to download. Was a bit of a pain but I luckily came across the offending icon pretty early. And better than rebuilding entirely. Hope this helps someone.

@David__B, did all of those things. No blank layers (and no audio). And nothing is marked with a failed icon following the attempt to download. Honestly, this is just super frustrating.

Is there perhaps a public-facing list somewhere of recently retired Stock assets? I feel like that's the only way I can possibly figure this out. I have thought about recreating the piece (UGH), but I don't want to burn those cycles if I'm just going to end up in the same spot with no clear answers on what's causing the problems...

Hi @gg_1999

Thank you for trying. Would it be possible to create a duplicate instance of your project and share it with me privately? I would like to see and issue first hand and will share it with our developers if I'm unable to resolve it. I'll send you a private message with details for sharing.

@Amitej S , here is a screenshot of the error. There are no red tags visible on anything that I can see. This was an existing project, and I updated some of the text. Was unable to download after that.

I will DM you a link to the project.

Hi @gg_1999

Typically, this means that the licensing for some of the assets used in the file have changed and need to be removed and updated. Please open the layers for the file and check for any blank layers (including audio tracks if this is a video project) and delete them. After deleting the blank layers you should no longer receive this error.

Hope this helps,

Dave

I am also getting this error when I try to download to PDF. I have checked all layers (no blanks), and there are no audio components. Could you advise as to how I'm able to share for review/help?

Hey @gg_1999, Thanks for posting here! Would it be possible for you to share a screen recording of the workflow with the error message? You may also need to share the project URL for us to investigate.

Hi Tarun,

It is a communication letter, so there is no audio files. I have checked in the file layers, but there are no blank ones and I am still experiencing the issue.

Hi

@default3161892909u5ll

,

Welcome to the Community! This usually indicates that the licensing for some assets in the file has changed and needs to be updated. Please open the file's layers, check for any blank layers (including audio tracks if it's a video project), and delete them. Once the blank layers are removed, the error should no longer appear.

Let us know if that helps.

Regards,

Tarun
