Erase Feature

Hi,

I erased the background of my image using the Erase tool and then applied any of the Basic effects. Somehow, the background reappeared afterward. I've included a gif to show the issue. Also, I tried "Remove Background" before trying Erase and got the same result for both.

1. Erase the background with the Erase tool or "Remove Background."
2. Apply an effect: Grayscale, Darken, etc.
3. Background reappears.
