erase restore not working

On a fresh image, Erase/Restore live preview works normally. The moment I use Erase/Restore once, or Remove Background once, live preview permanently breaks for that element, even if I Undo. Deleting the element and re-importing a fresh copy restores live preview. This is a persistent post-mask render-state bug.

Thanks for the quick reply. It is working better on the app (haven't tried desktop again), but it will still freeze up mid way through erasing and will stop working in real time, won't zoom or scroll the screen, so I need to press the tick (done) and start a new erase again. I'm using iPhone 11 iOS 26.2 & actually surprised it hasn't caught on fire with what I put it through graphically 😆

When I erase parts of an image I'm adding to another image the Erase Tool is not working right. As I erase nothing is being removed. When I back out if the tool what I erased is gone. In fact it's a mess because I can't tell what Imwas erasing. Sometimes if I quit the app it fixes it. Sometimes not. Sometimes if I delete the image I'm trying to erase and reimport it it fixed it. Sometimes not. This is a critical tool for me. I use it all the time.

@Tony36944830iq8j I just tried, and it works. Not the greatest or my liking!

Try clearing the history, cookies and cache of your web browser. And log back in to se if the erase tool works again?

Hi, when I use the erase tool in Express it doesn't erase anything in real-time anymore. It's only when I click done that it shows up what's erased, which is obviously never correct because I can't see it erase when I'm doing it. This is happening on both my mobile app and desktop. Thanks,

Hi @brave_walrus9622, Thanks for reaching out! Are you still facing the issue? You may want to restart the mobile device once and check if the app is working fine now. Please ensure that it's updated to the latest available version. For the web app, try once after clearing the browser's cache/cookies to see if that makes any difference. If the issue persists, please share the device make and model, the installed OS version, and the Adobe Express app version and browser, if using the desktop app. It'll help us reproduce this issue and conduct further investigation.

Best!

Hi @benm82530855

Thanks for reporting this issue. The team was made aware of it on Friday (perhaps you also reached out using a different customer support mechanism?) and will be investigating. Thanks for your patience.

Hi @benm82530855, Welcome to the Adobe Express community!

Thanks for reaching out and sharing this. Our team is aware and has been working to fix similar issues.

If you can provide a screen recording of the same, it'll be more helpful in fixing it if there are still occurrences of this issue. You can share the screen recording in the post here itself.

Until then, we'll try to reproduce the issue on our end and share it further for investigation.

We really appreciate you taking the time to report this and help improve the app.

Best!
