File getting corrupted and losing work

Hi, the program is just not usable. About 3 hrs into my project my timeline develops blank spaces and my work gets corrupted or lost. ive lost over 3 hrs of work just now and this happened earlier in the week as well. Its really not possible to use thiis software.
