Freezing at 90% during download of a pdf

Pretty often me or my colleagues try to download a pdf from a adobe express file (web page)

It shows the loading that reaches always 90% and then it gets stuck.

It is happening Often and it's getting kinda annoying since we use it for work, I tried to delete the cache and even to download from a duplicate file but nothing was solved.

Usually we wait the day after in order to download without incidents the pdf but as you may imagine it causes work delays. I would like to get support in order for me and my colleauges to work fluently without any hitches.

Have tried on three different devices and all the same: Download dialog hangs at 90%, I walk away for a few minutes, when I come back I get a “Download failed. An error occurred while downloading your file. Please try again.” Doesn’t seem to matter what format I choose, if I do one page or all 8. I have cleared cache, used private browsing, used a different browser, used the app on my phone; no download.

We need to be able to download a PDF for various purposes for our business and time is running out. Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Same issue, can Adobe help?  Can’t download a file and cannot place any icons, etc. without it hanging up indefinitely.

We were finally able to download a pdf page by page starting with the last one. When we got to the first page, a simple title page with a single jpg on it, we weren’t able to download until we replaced the jpg with a png. Other pages had jpgs but downloaded fine. Not sure why all that worked, but we’re grateful to have our pitch deck ready to be sent to our printer to be made into brochures.

I’m hoping the issue is resolved for future projects. Clearly this is affecting a lot of people.

After it freezes at 90%, it then moves to “download failed because we’re experiencing a temporary Adobe Stock service outage.” So frustrating!

Hi @Shawn3486171472lf

We have deployed a fix for this. Could you please try again now? Please refresh your browser tab (or restart your app, if you on mobile) to pick up the fix.

Thanks

This is still happening to me a lot, it’s caused me to move away from Express and start using other platforms because it causes so many disruptions to my workflow.

This is happening to me right now too. I'm able to download as a PNG but not PDF.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing these details. We understand how frustrating it must be not being able to download your projects as PDF. We escalated this issue to our product team so they can investigate it further. We’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information or a fix. In the meantime, please continue using PNG export as a temporary workaround.

Regards,

Chaimaa

I'm experiencing a similar issue; I can download my project in PNG but not in PDF. An error shows once I click download, no matter if it's one page or the entire project. Tried different browsers, incognito mode, duplicated project, uninstalled desktop app; nothing works.

It seems the issue hasn't been fixed after all.

Actually I don't think it is something related to the device since I've noticed many others have posted the same issue on the adobe comunity. we're using adobe express web on google. I believe you can find something useful on the other posts on this error on the adobe comunity

It happens randomly to many many files. Sometimes it happens then it get fixed just by waiting a few hours or a day, but it could happen more than one time, it seems pretty random.

Hi @daniele_9270,

Welcome to the community! We're sorry to hear about this. Did you try using another browser to check if that makes any difference? Is it happening with all files or just this file only? If possible can you share the file with me via private message with edit access to investigate further?

Private messages should be accessible from the envelope in the top right corner. This should be the direct URL- https://adobe.ly/3VwKCgW
