Google Photos no longer appears when trying to upload images

This has been happening for some time now (since the last AE upgrade, from what I can tell): the icon for Google Photos no longer appears as an option when I try to upload images from my Android phone. It used to be there! 

 

Using the Files option does not allow me to access my collections inside GP (huge inconvenience), but this cumbersome workaround will allow me to upload the most recent images I have saved. I was hoping this bug would have been fixed by now but it has not been. What happened? I believe my apps are all up to date.

I did recently try a linking process with Google that appeared in AE, btw. That resulted in a kind of snafu in which I lost all contact with but a few images/videos that I could only access if, during an upload image attempt, I clicked on Files; again, the Google Photos icon was not made available as a choice. So I went to Google and disengaged that link up. No improvement in seeing the Photos icon, but at least I can see more of my saved images on the phone when I resort to selecting Files to upload an image.

REVVL V+ 5G Android phone. I have since discovered that (when opening a blank canvas to create on, the Google Photos icon appears—but only this one time in the creating process—if I select Update File as soon as the prompt is offered immediately after opening the blank canvas. After that, if I attempt to upload other images, the Google Photos icon is gone from the options.

Welcome to the community! Could you please let us know the make and model of your Android device? Also, please ensure your Google Photos account is connected to Adobe Express. If it is already connected, try re-connecting again and see if that helps.
