Icon Sizing Problem

You can no longer change the length of the arrow icon. You can make it bigger, which blows it up, but you cannot drag out the length of the arrow only without making the arrow huge. This was an old feature on the old version of express. Is this a bug? Or did you make a mistake in getting rid of that feature?
