Importing a .psd file is very long.

Importing a .PSD file from my computer to AE takes a very long time, the 8 or 10 analysis and conversion phases last at least 5 minutes, is this due to my internet connection? The size of my.psd = 178 MB.

What is the time and file size when you use File > Save As Copy to convert the .psd to .png or .jpeg first?
