Increasingly Difficult & Counter-Intuitive Text Editing [mobile]

Adobe Express has got to have the most difficult & least intuitive text editing that I've ever seen. Take, for example, a text box containing just the word 'TESTING'. In the past, I was able to tap & hold the blinking text cursor & drag it to move it between any 2 characters of my choosing. And if I wanted to "select all", I'd simply double-tap any part of the text, highlighting a whole word. Then an option to "select all" would appear, which would highlight everything in the text box.  Now, there is no way to "select all" that I can find. Or even a way to select just one word, or one character. Nor can I figure out how to move the cursor left/right or up/down amongst text.

Is this something that anyone at Adobe is aware of, or could it be a more localized issue, perhaps some option I might've accidentally changed? Feel free to let me know if I did a poor job of explaining the issue I'm experiencing.

Hi @x.Plo!t,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating it can be when text editing feels less intuitive, especially on mobile. Our goal is to make Adobe Express as smooth and creative-friendly as possible, so your input is very valuable.

Here are a few things you can try while we work on improving the experience:

  1. Update the App - Make sure you’re running the latest version of Adobe Express. Many recent fixes address text editing and UI responsiveness.

  2. Clear Cache & Restart - On mobile, clearing the app cache and restarting can resolve temporary glitches.

Additionally, I recommend submitting your feedback at https://adobeexpress.uservoice.com/forums/951181-adobe-express, as this page is actively monitored by our product team.

Regards,

Tarun
