layers, media and text are locked, cannot unlock

I have been working on a template for a business and I opened up the document this morning to continue editing and all the media, text and layers show to be "locked in a group". I have researched I've tried to unlock, but have been unsuccessful. I had no locks on this before, why is it locked now and how do I unlock it?

    And if you go back to the group, do you see this lock icon? If so, tapping it should help

    Are you the only person working on this, or are you collaborating with anyone else?
    Could you check an earlier version using File > version history?
