Library vectors are low quality when placed

I have been using Express for almost a year on my iPad Pro 2024 and have never had an issue with my library or brand assets as they were all made on my Mac on Illustrator 2024 and saved as vectors to my library.

All of a sudden today when going to make a social post, EVERYTHING i place from my library is EXTREMLY low quality and there seems to be no work around at all. I am so frustrated and do not know how to fix this. I thought maybe it was an outdated version.. nope. I thought maybe its the iOS version so i tried on my mac online and nope.

I have never had this issue. The files are the same files they have been for almost a year and nothing has changed except for the quality all of a sudden.

Please if anyone has the answer, let me know!!!

I have logged out, deleted, re-downloaded and re-started a project and still nothing.

The files are saved as assets to my library directly from Illustrator and have never presented issues. Last week they were fine. I haven't opened the Illustrator file on any device since saving them months ago so there are no changes that should have been made to them. It is all assets from my library. Everything i need for my marketing! I am using the express iOS app on iPad and it is up to date Version 28.1.0. The files are saved as .svg files. I know Express cannot render vectors, but it converts to rasterized after placing and sizing... right? This is a new issue for me. Tonight, i placed an asset and it stayed at full quality until i clicked it to move it and then it went to very pixelated.

I am having the same issue. Files in a library I've been using for months are loading in at low quality. And the remove background feature no longer works on these images when I add them to the file.

I am using adobe express. I've tried web version and app. I cleared my cache. I was able to successfully do this last week, May 31st, and I first noticed the issue June 4th.

Hi @dakotaandrei,

Thank you for reaching out — I'm sorry to hear about this frustrating issue, especially when working with important brand assets.

To start, please try the following quick troubleshooting steps:

  1. Log out and back in to your Adobe account on both your iPad and Mac.

  2. Clear cache in your browser (if using Express on the web).

  3. On iPad, try force-closing the app, then reopen and test again.

  4. Ensure the files are being placed at 100% scale and not auto-resized on drop (sometimes this can cause rasterized previews to appear).

If the problem persists, could you please share the following details to help us investigate further?

  • A sample file name, and when you noticed the issue

  • Whether this happens to all library assets or only some

  • Whether you are using the Express app or the web version

  • If using Illustrator, are the files saved as .ai, .svg, or other formats in the library?

This info will help our engineering team look into it more deeply. Again, apologies for the disruption — we’ll do our best to get this resolved for you.
