Issue Summary:

Using Present and Preview Mode in an Express Webpage fails to render images/screenshots, leaving blank spaces, while the live published URL displays them perfectly.

Product & Version:

Adobe Express (Web App).

Platform/Browser:

Tested on Google Chrome (Windows/MacOS), Brave, and Microsoft Edge (including InPrivate mode).

Steps to Reproduce:

Open preexisting a Web Page presentation, add standard screenshots (.png/.jpg) or Adobe Stock images, click "Present".

Duplicate a preexisting Web Page presentation, add standard screenshots (.png/.jpg) or Adobe Stock images, click "Present".

Expected Result:

Images and text should render on the active presentation canvas.

Actual Result:

Images vanish and only text is displayed. However, the "Publish to Web" link works correctly and shows everything.

    Update for everyone here -

Confirmed this is a known issue our team already has logged and is investigating. It's on our side with how Present/Preview renders images - not your setup, files, or browser, which is why cache clears and browser switches haven't helped. Your published pages showing everything correctly is consistent with that.

No fix date yet, but I'll post here as soon as I have one. In the meantime, since the published URL renders your images correctly, that's the reliable way to share or view your work while this is worked on.

Thanks @jwall3230 for the before/after screenshots - super helpful.

    I have the same problem

When trying to preview or use presenter mode the text shows up but no pictures are visible. I have cleared cache and cookies and that did not fix the issue.

It shows up in the editor but as soon as you enter the preview or present modes all of the photos disappear and leave only the text. I have tried on multiple devices and cleared cache and cookies on all browsers to try and fix the issue.

    Hi @Hugo264585709eyq,

This is one of the cleanest bug reports I've had come through - thank you!

Since the same images show perfectly on the live published page and only vanish in Present/Preview, this is pointing at something in the in-editor presentation rendering path rather than your setup or the files. You've already ruled out browser and session by testing across Chrome, Brave, and Edge including InPrivate, so there's nothing more for you to do - I will take it to the team.

One thing that'd help them narrow it: does it happen with every image in the presentation, or only some (e.g. Adobe Stock images vs. your own uploaded .png/.jpg screenshots)? If it's only a subset, knowing which type would be useful.

Also, if you're willing, can you share the link to your project with me via DM (and make the Access settings "Anyone with the link" can edit - make sure you make a copy so you have an untouched version, too!)

I'll follow up here as soon as I hear back.

Thanks! I’m glad you found the description helpful.

At this time, the projects that I am looking at have images that have been uploaded to the Webpage project.

I tested linking a gif from gify to the project and it displays in Preview and Present. I also linked a free Adobe Stock image to the presentation and saved the changes. The Adobe Stock image did not display in Preview and Present.
