Photos do not wan to load into my project

Every time I use Adobe it is very slow, doesn't want to load and always has issues. It doesn't matter what type of browser I am using either. Photos from AE and from my files fail to load.  It is getting worse and worse. I am so frustrating I am going to search for another program to use and cancel my subscription to this one.   I get occassional isuses but the level of issues here is ridiculous and causes way more time to be spent on things that should take very minimal time in my day.
