Express PNG export

Screenshot resized in photoshop and saved as "smallest file" PNG

You can clearly see that the grainy export from Express, especially in the letters on the hat and the card.

I'm a premium customer using Chrome on a Windows 10 machine.

I have the same issue, (see this thread) this needs to be fixed immediately (shocked it hasnt been already)
I am setting up a workspace for a small business client, so first time using Express, and cannot at this point recommend it to them when you cant export something as simple as a logo to a decent quality.

Hi @Inignot

I moved your post to a new thread since quite a bit has changed in the app since the prior post. I understand the issue but need more info to be able to reproduce it and report it to our developers. Thank you for screenshots, they are helpful but I need to better understand the context. Some initial questions:

  • What are the dimensions of your Adobe Express project? (you can get this from with the Resize option)
  • How were the parts of the projects with the graininess added? i.e. were these Illustrator files, jpg, png, files you uploaded into the project?
  • Were the parts appearing grainy scaled down significantly within the project?
  • Was the graininess visible within the project or only on export?
  • Would it be possible to describe the steps to recreate the issue?
  • Would it be possible to share a link to your project?

Thanks,

Dave

800x450

png files mixed with Adobe Express Elements -> Design Assets (which also become grainy when exported)

No, in the project in the browser, the assets appear fine, until they are exported to PNG. It's almost as if the wrong resizing logic is used when scaling for export (IE enlarge logic is used instead of reduction, or sharp is used instead of smooth)

Yes, I created the project, dropped the graphic in and exported as PNG (Best for Images) and it came out looking like I resized a bmp in Microsoft Paint circa 1994.
