Recent iOS and macOS updates will not allow you to remove the background from any image in any format. Very frustrating when you have work to create.

Unable to remove the background on any image uploaded, no matter the format or complexity. This is a recent development since the latest update.

          can you share a screen record showing remove background failing? If possible, also share the image you used the failed? Thank you

          erase and remove background use different services.

           

          Unfortunately there is an issue with the remove background service and our team is working on a fix. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. I will post an update as soon as I can

            For now, the erase tool is working for me, I’d say thats your next best option. 
            Been happening to me as well.

            Not great when you do sports social 

            media and need complete background removal. I hope the powers that be are aware

              Yeah bes thi g to do for now is just use the spotter tool, you’ll have to zoom in so the covering/masking is lined up correctly, but yes it does add extra steps for now. Maybe their updating the bg remover tool for now. 

              For now, just resort to these forums until theres a fix is what i would suggest.
