Stuck timeline

Multiple times over, when I am editing my video, the preview will get stuck in one or more videos (with audio). What I mean by stuck is that the video or audio do not play, and the "play" button is stuck, spinning. I have over 15-20 different videos uploaded where I am using about 3s of each.
