Text formatting issues when downloading as PDF

I'm experiencing formatting issues with text alignment when downloading my document to PDF.
I have a few lines of text that are aligned to the right, and when I download as PDF (standard or print) there are spaces added on the end of a few lines which skew the alignment. The issue does not show up when downloading as PNG/JPEG.
I've tried downloading from different browsers, erased cache/cookies in my current browser, but the issue persists regardless of the font. I've triple checked that there's no extra spaces in the text as well.
I want to avoid downloading as PNG then converting to PDF as I'm working with many versions of the same document (+15, 2-page documents) and it's time consuming, along with the fact that the PDF is not editable within Acrobat after downloading (which is essential for web accessibility).
I've attached screenshots of the png and pdf versions highlighting the extra spaces. I see it's a recurring issue, but haven't found a solution for the problem itself, just workarounds. Any help would be great, thanks!
Additional info: most current versions of windows and browser (microsoft edge), as i'm on a work account/laptop.
