Text in existing projects is not appearing

This is quite a serious issue - upon opening up a recent animated video design to make updates, none of the text is appearing! Discovered the text layers ARE still there, but when you click on the layer it just brings up an empty field. And if you run the video in preview, none of the text appears! NOTE 1: If you download the video - all the text appears as expected!? NOTE 2: If you slightly stretch out each text field, suddenly the text reappears. That's exactly what I've had to do to about 20 text layers/fields to update my latest design. NOTE 3: It does not affect the graphic elements!? BUT - upon checking, this problem affects ALL previous projects I have created... so at the moment, if I want to continue with ongoing projects or update them, I would have to manually modify as described above... a painful and timely thing to have to do. I have examples if needed, but of course I cannot send you a download because the problem is happening at the front end.
