Text looks selected but isn't

When I opened this document on my personal Mac, there's an issue with it that's not on my work Mac (both same OS and Chrome). A text box looks selected even though it's not. I cannot get that phantom border to disappear.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. You might want to try these on the computer having the issue.

Test in different browsers - Chrome, Edge, Safari
Try clearing the browser cache - https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
Test in incognito/private browsing mode - https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95464
