Themes in controlled templates

Where did "Themes" go in a controlled template? I want to restrict a controlled template to the color themes/palettes in my brand, but when I set that style restriction to the template, the option to change the entire color theme in the template is gone. I have set up multiple palette combinations to make it simpler for users to be able to change the colors according to the brand. Changing the theme allowed for that. But now if I restrict the colors to the brand there is no option to change the overall color palette. Only background color and unlocked graphic elements. If I don't restrict the colors to the brand, the user gets ALL the options. Even the ability to use a different brand, or options that are not part of the brand. Please bring back the ability to change the Theme colors to a controlled template.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for the information. I don't see "Apply Brand" in a controlled template. Where should I find that option? Thanks

@Traci28174091f3mv thanks for the feedback! This is currently intentional as the Themes panel contains a mix of user themes and Adobe provided themes. We do plan to bring this back in a way that limits the panel to just your Brand themes but in the meantime, your Brand palettes can still be applied to the entire template via the Brands panel in 2 ways:

1. Use the recently released "Apply Brand" button to auto-apply & shuffle through various color palettes AND decide whether you also want to shuffle through Brand fonts (in addition to colors).
2. Selecting the specific color palette from within the Brand will apply that to the entire template as well if you don't want to "shuffle"

I hope this helps!

Andrew
