Video editing no longer works in Adobe Express

Adobe Express has become unusable in a recent update it seems, at least for video editing. Uploading videos to edit often doesn't work, and opening video's I've previously edited also don't load properly. Constantly having to refresh in the hope that this time it will load everything properly. Makes using Express rather impossible.

Here's an example of a video I've previously edited:

And then after refreshing, another part doesn't load properly:

Same here. The problem is, that AE automatically converted Videos into “Presentations”.

When you click on File → convert to Adobe Express file you can at least edit the timeline.

HOWEVER: the timeline can only be edited for one scene at a time!
This is a huge error, because it disables viewing or editing several scenes - which is crucial for any editing and a basic function.

Adobe has to fix this ASAP. This is a crucial function for us as corporate customer.

Correction, 22. April 2026, 10.42 AM UTC+2: I have zeroed in on the problem. If you create a new video, the scene-editing works fine. You can add scenes, and the editing view shows all the scenes and layers.
With EXISTING files, the issue persists. Editing is only possible for one scene at a time. So the transformation-function → Presentation to AE-Video is buggy. Please Fix ASAP.

Addendum: all (!) existing videos were tranformed into presentations by the last update. This should not happen, at least not with an opt-out function before these changes are made. Software-Engineering 101 imho...

Hi @Jabark89
Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Thanks for sharing the video examples:
A couple of related questions.
- Does the issue occur in different browsers?
- Does the playback issue occur if you export the video?
- Does clearing the browser cache for the affected browser make any difference? https://adobe.ly/4g27uwh

Thanks,

Dave

"I am experiencing significant frustration as a professional consumer. These videos are crucial for work-related matters, and the ongoing issues have been both time-consuming and counterproductive. Time is money, and beyond the wasted time, the original intent behind these efforts has been completely undermined. I am feeling deeply discouraged. Perhaps it is time to explore better service providers and consider legal action against the current company. Investigating the applicable laws in this matter seems appropriate, especially since I haven’t found anything addressing these issues in the terms and conditions I ve signed."
