Cant access paid assets with educational account, but can't pay either.

I have a free educational license.  I want to access the paid assets.  I can't.  I tried to upgrade my account by paying the subscription fee. It won't allow me to, as it will only allow me to purchase an educational version which it says i already have.  So is there no way access these on a student account? and please don't suggest contact your IT dept...
