I recently bought a substance designer, installed it, did not change anything. I loaded a standard material into the graph and in 2D and 3D form some kind of white image/material. In Library brown color in my 2d/3d view much more brightness My friends, who are on the old version of the substance designer, do not have this. What I must do? What is it. Why is it? And why is it in the default setting.

The colour management options give predictable color in a workflow chain that is color managed throughout. That means the color is predictable when you move from say Substance to a 3D rendering app and from the render into compositing. So, for example, in CGI it is common to use ACES. For that to work properly, your other applications should also use the same color managed workflow and your monitors be calibrated correctly.

If you were happy with the color you get using it switched to legacy then by all means leave it off, it was used that way before color management options were added.

So. Did I understand correctly that Color mManagement is an additional new feature of the Substance Designer, which expands the possibilities and is not mandatory for use? Will a legacy mod be enough to create materials for game development projects?

No, legacy is used to make it work as before OCIO/ICC color management was added.

If you want to use a full color managed workflow then that means using it end to end. Choose ICC or OCIO and set up your monitors and other applications accordingly.

So in order for the Substance Designer to display materials correctly, Legacy must be installed? Did I understand correctly?
If so, why did it default to something else?

Look at your colour management settings in Edit > Preferences >Projects > Color Management . It is designed to work in a colour management workflow. However to match your friends older set ups - set it to Legacy. You will need to restart SD after making changes.
