Minimizing and maximizing Designer does not return it to the previous monitor

Hello Substance team,

I would use Designer on my second monitor, minimize it and when I maximize it again, it would be on the first monitor instead of the second. It's as though it doesn't remember which monitor it was supposed to be on.

The expected behavior is of course to have it maximize back to where it was before.

This has been an issue for a few versions now. It could be a specific windows issue (I can confirm that this is not just happening to me, and has happened on Win 10 and Win 11).

This is just hugely annoying but the workaround is clear and simple.

Hope you guys can look into it soon! Thank you!

Thank you for the details!

There's probably something we're missing, because even with similar conditions, we're not able to reproduce. We're investigating though. Could you DM me your log file (Help > Export log)

Hello Cyril!

That's strange. I was having this issue on my previous work PC on windows 10 as well (and my colleagues around me had the same issue).

My current PC specs are:

OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 26100)
System Model: Z790 AORUS MASTER X
CPU: Intel Core i9-14900KF
Memory: 128GB
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4090

I am using Designer 14.1.2

Could you try to see if you can replicate it with a similar monitor configuration?
Where Display 2 is the main display and having Designer opened on Display 2.
And if it also helps, I also have my taskbar showing apps on all displays.

Thank you!

Hello @chun_wei,

Thank you for your report.

I'm not able to reproduce the issue, we'll have to try on several machines. Can you share with me the computer's specs?

Let me know.
