Can't transcribe video in Premiere

Tried every troubleshooting recommendation from AI chatbots. Still can’t get videos to transcribe the audio into text. It worked for a few days after I installed premiere, but hasn’t worked for the past week.

What happens? Does a transcribe dialogue open and then it doesn’t work, or what?

Are you using automatic transcription, or selecting one or more clips to transcribe?

Screenshots might help.

What specific PR version are you using? PC or Mac?

Basically it would begin transcribing and the blue status window would begin to fill up for a few seconds and then it would stop and prompt me to “transcribe” again. I was using automatic transcription, selecting individual clips, importing different videos and audio clips. I’m on Windows. Version 26.3. Spoke to Adobe support. Couldn’t find the fix, so I downgraded Premiere to version 26.0.2 and now transcription is working again.

Your symptoms are a little different, but there are known issues being worked on. I’ll try to add a link here for you. Some users had problems with 26.0.2; several users said 26.0.1 worked as a roll-back. Many users dropped back to version 25, but that was rarely needed.
