Captions lose timing when you correct typos

I created a video in Premiere for iPhone and added captions. When I correct typos in the speech to text analysis, it seems like Premiere loses the timings and the highlighted words no longer match the audio.

Hey @wesplate Sorry you’re experiencing this issue with caption timing.

When you make small edits to the captions text string — like fixing a typo or changing a word — the timing should generally stay in sync. However, if you're adding or removing multiple words, it can throw off the alignment between the audio and the highlighted captions. This is something we’re aware of.

We were really excited to introduce captions in our 1.0 release, along with a set of templates to help speed up your workflow. That said, we know there are still areas where things aren’t working quite as expected — including cases like the one you’ve run into — and we’re already working on improvements for the next version of our captions, transcripts, and templates system
