Adobe Media Encoder is not launching

Hello everyone,

Since the last update, Media Encoder won’t launch properly.
When I try to run it, the loading icon shows up, but nothing happens. In Task Manager I can see that it’s running in the background, but the application itself never opens.

I’ve tried several different versions of Media Encoder and the result is always the same. I’m on Windows 11 Pro, version 24H2.

I searched for solutions but couldn’t find anything that worked. The only workaround I have is to repair Creative Cloud every time I want to use Media Encoder. After repairing, it launches correctly, but once I close it, I have to repair Creative Cloud again before I can open it next time.

Has anyone found a permanent fix for this issue? I’d really like to avoid repairing Creative Cloud over and over again.

Thanks in advance!

This is very weird. I never needed to do anything like this. What processor are you using?

Which operating system do you use?

Yes, I’ve tried everything - logging out and back in, reinstalling, using older versions, even setting up CC completely from scratch, but nothing worked. However, I’ve now come across a solution that’s actually quite simple: I set Media Encoder to run in compatibility mode for Windows 8, and it works now.

Sorry for your issues. Did you try to log out in CCD and log in again?
