I have been having very slow ingest times during the last two updates. Doing a simple copy ingest of .mp4's from a FX3 camera used to take 10-20 mins and is now taking hours using the same setup. I am not sure what happen but I have cleared the memory cache and made sure Mercury renderer was being used. M4 Macbook pro64GB memoryTahoe 26.1

The new masking feature is great imo, but they sometimes break / disappear when exporting through Media Encoder. I have experienced this when using the object mask tool to then copy a mask into “opacity” to essentially create a layout roto. Hoping this will work soon, or there is some solution to this, because I mainly use Encoder to render, as I have to do a lot of bulk exports. 

Media Encoder is updated 5 days ago. The program will not start neither the installed app nor from creative cloud.Media Encoder wont start and nothing happens when I choose export video/media from Animate. I have uninstalled and installed ME. I did not help. I can in joblist see, that  ME is running - but I can´t see it anywhere..

Hi all, I am currently experiencing an issue when batch exporting from Premiere Pro; When I batch export sequences using Media Encoder, they all seem to have the music levels way too loud - and does not accurately reflect the timeline. I’m certain the issue is with Media Encoder, as when I export my video within Premiere Pro, the audio levels are all correct. I’m not sure what’s causing this but I’d appreciate any advice on solving the issue as my job requires a lot of batch exporting.I have tried reinstalling both Media Encoder and Premiere Pro, but the issue persists.It is strange how it’s always the music track that seems to be the one boosted.For context, I am running Premiere Pro Version 26.0.1 (build 3) and Media Encoder 26.0 (build 60) on a MacBook Pro (Nov 2024) w/48 GB Memory on macOS Tahoe 26.3.It may be worth noting that I do run plugins in Premiere Pro, such as Artlist.io, Premiere Composer, and a select few from Knights of the Editing Table - Not sure if this could cause i

I'm not sure if it’s a Windows bug or the Media Encoder is the culprit, nonetheless, I ask Adobe to investigate this issue.This problem had been there for several years in both Premiere Pro and Media Encoder, but some time ago it was fixed for Premiere and is still in ME. Here’s a screenshot to illustrate it:Picture A shows my PC load - both for CPU and GPU - when ME window is active. The program is either maximized or just is not overlapped by any other program window.Picture B shows a drop in performance as if ME is going asleep. This happens if I minimize ME or open my browser to read an article, watch a move, browse the socials or news, or I may open some book locally on my PC, or go se how my folders are organized - anything that switches the focus off ME main window.I have a good PC so it’s out of question that such a simple task as opening the browser may lower the performance so much.And it goes without saying that when the second case happens ME render time become much MUC

Hi, I’m using AE 2025 and ME 2025 on MacOS and I’m having trouble with sending my exports from AE to ME.When I’m working on a project and going File>Export>Send to Media encoder, ME launchs correctly but the project almost never show up in queue (even after waiting for a long time). I tried to import the project directly from ME with File>Add Source, but when I select the project, the “connecting with the project” waiting bar shows up but load for infinity, nothings happens. Having pretty weak specs ( M1 chip and 8gb ram), exporting directly from AE is impossible and crashes evrytimes. Sorry for my English (not my native language) and thank you !!

In the latest AME update v26 build 60. The name of the preset used no longer shows up. It simply says “Custom” rather than the custom preset name like it always has before. This is annoying as i encode in several versions for client distribution and makes it hard to double check I have all encoding. 

Hi, I'm working on a CEP plugin for Premiere and Media Encoder. There's this bug I can't seem to get around where the renderer's bounds aren't resizing on the vertical axis properly. It looks like this bug has been persisting for quite some time now as it dates back to at least AME 22.5 (minimum version installed for my plugin) from what I can tell. Sometimes it's rendering the "Queue" panel behind it. The horizontal axis resizes just fine, but the vertical is just plain stuck. In the web inspector screenshot, the height is staying at a constant 956 pixels tall.

I will often times send something from Premiere to Media Encoder for exporting. Many times I am creating multiple version, so I have a folder of presets that I drag onto the file and I get my 6 different version of the video. I have Media Encoder set to append the preset name to the filename.  Othertimes I am not choosing a preset, but i am doing custom settings in Premiere and when I send it to Media Encoder and it will automatically append a preset name to the end of the filename. I *think* it chooses the most recent preset that I made/saved, but the preset column will say "custom" but the filename will have a preset name appended to it. I'll be exporting a 4K file and the filename will have "1080 w-captions" appended to it, even though none of the settings chosen are from that preset. I am using Premiere Pro 25.2.3 and media Encoder 25.2I am running macOS 14.7.6 on a Mac Studio M1 Max with 64GB of RAM. This has been an issue for a few years now, and I always assu

I have a timeline for a 30-minute show. In the timeline, there is raw video, audio, and for pre-done packages, there are embedded sequences. Playing back inside Premiere Pro there is no issue. Everything plays perfectly smoothly. When I render the show in Adobe Media Encoder (AME), some parts of the embedded sequences have major dropped frames. I noticed this only when I went to make the promo and the talent on green screen played fine, the video underneath, which was from an embedded sequence, was dropping frames, but only upon export with AME. Playing on the timeline was fine.For the promo, I noticed that if I switched off "Import Sequences Natively," the render was fine. However, I could not do that when I had to re-export the show, as AME still has an issue where it keeps burning in the closed captions into the video regardless of settings.  So, my only fix was to render the shows back out directly from Premiere Pro. Any Ideas? Premiere Pro 24.3.0Windows 10intel 1390

Hi!I’m encountering a bug when exporting sequences with captions from Adobe Premiere Pro to Adobe Media Encoder (AME). In Premiere Pro, I have a sequence that includes captions (see image01 below). When I send this sequence to AME to render, I choose not to include captions in Premiere's Export window. However, once the sequence reaches Media Encoder, the captions are automatically turned on, and the video is exported with burned-in captions even though I disabled them. Settings and BehaviorI always use the built-in Apple ProRes 422 HQ export preset in Premiere (see image02 below). Here’s what I’ve found:If I export using the preset without modifying any settings in Premiere's Export window, the sequence is exported correctly by AME, with no captions burned in.If I modify any part of the preset settings in Premiere's Export window (for example, I typically disable Effects and Metadata, see image03 below), and send the sequence to AME, the exported video ends up with burned-in

This seems to be a bug in the latest version of Media Encoder (25.6) No matter what I do, whether it's deleting the preferences folder(s) or reverting the workspace and even try and toggle it with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-1, the Queue window will not show up. I rolled back to base version 25 and the Queue window has returned, so this is particularly odd. Think it's a bug.   

For the past 5 updates of MediaEncoder 2025, I've had extremely long export times for basic sequences. For a 1920x1080 sequence around 2:30 exporting to H264, I'm getting export times in excess of 30 minutes. There are no effects, no titles or graphics, just a basic stringout of 1080p clips. The only difference is the updated MediaEncoder. I had one project that after restarting my computer, the render time went back to normal, maybe less than 30 seconds for a similar sequence with titles, lumetri color, and the works. I've tried restarting the computer this time but I'm still getting these extremely slow export times, all this in time with a huge increase in the annual cost of the software. If I select multiple sequences to export and specify the range to be Source In to Out this is not communicated to Media Encoder. It works OK on individual files.Additionally if I select all the outputs in the Media Encoder Queue and edit the settings to specify Source In to Out. I get the warning that I am affecting multiple entries, however in fact only one is changed. On and off for months now I have been faced with the exporting bug "Preparing Audio (X of XXXX)." Adobe Media Encoder claims to be processing a range of hundreds to thousands of audio files when I have, at max, 7 audio tracks. I do a lot of video editing/creation in After Effects and then I export to Media Encoder to render. For the last few months (I'm presuming after an update) I can no longer send files to media encoder!I've tried sending to the Render Queue and then the AME and also direct from AE (file > export > media encoder). 99% of the time Media Encoder opens up but nothing appears in the queue. On the rare occassion it does make it to the render queue in AME I can't actually render it... It says that it can't connect to the dynamic server. I've uninstalled both pieces of software and reinstalled but that didn't help...I'm using macOS Ventura Version 13.5.2After Effects Version 24.0.1 (Build 2)Media Encoder Version 24.0 (Build 54)Thanks

Hey there, Have had a look through the forms and couldn't find any solve for this but I'm having troubles adding files to the Media Encoder Queue. I don't get an error or any signs of loading, it just seems like both programs fail to connect.Mac system: 15.6 (24G84)After Effects version: 25.5.0Media Encoder Version: 25.5Trial and error log: -Reinstalled both applications-started Media Encoder and AE after-Adding an AE file manually using the "+" icon results in an endless loading loop, as if the 2 can not connect-Saved AE file under different name and location-Uninstalled any betThings to consider:-AE render queue is working as intended-Im viewing the queue tab in Media Encoder-Adding to Media Encoder through Premiere works fine.Any help would be appreciated as this is needed for a current project where I need to dynamically render different versions of the same comp and doing it through the render queue has proven to be quite tedious.

Problem Converting an audio file from any format to MP3, including MP3 to MP3, AME removes some embedded metadata and alters others. Environment macOS Sequioa 15.7.1 (but has been occuring for several versions of macOS now) Adobe Media Encoder 2025 (25.5 Build 13), 2024 (24.6.5 Build 3), 2023, and all versions from the last 3 years at least Steps to Reproduce 1. Create an audio file (examples below use WAV and 320 Kbps MP3) 2. Complete the audio file's metadata using Adobe Audition or a third-party metadata editor (Kid3 shown below, but confirmed results in four other metadata editors, including Adobe Audition) 3. Add the file to Adobe Media Encoder's Queue directly, or via a Watched Folder 4. Set conversion options to be some type of MP3 5. Start the queue and wait for it to finish 6. Examine the output MP3 in a metadata editor.   Result The ID3v2 Picture/Album Art field will be stripped away completely. The ID3v1 Genre field will be reset to "Blues", which is not the first choi

Buenas. Vengo con un nuevo problema. Resulta que cuando abro Adobe Media Encoder, voy a la pestaña "Editar" y selecciono la opcion "Preferencias", no pasa nada. No se cuelga el programa, ni deja de funcionar. Directamente no me hace caso, como si no hubiera presionado sobre la opcion "Preferencias". A alguien más le ha pasado? Lo pudieron resolver?

I have a QuickTime MOV file that has an embedded EIA-608 caption track. I need to convert it to a format our broadcast servers can play (XDCAM MXF OP1a with embedded captions). Added the file to AME (with the "include captions on import" flag enabled). This would be the easiest solution for transcoding. AME does not recognize the caption stream. It recognizes the video and audio and exports those just fine. Just no caption track.As a test, I tried importing the file to Premiere Pro and it recognized the caption track just fine (and displays correctly in every part of PPro). I'm wondering if there is some setting I am missing in AME, or whether media encoder is just not working properly. I don't want the workaround of having to import to PPRO every time. Hi everyone,I’m experiencing hangs between Premiere Pro and Adobe Media Encoder (AME). I already reinstalled, updated, and cleared caches, but the issue persists.- What happens:I send a sequence from Premiere Pro to AME.- AME starts rendering, then randomly stalls.- Progress stops and, in Windows Task Manager, AME drops to 0% CPU.- If I close Premiere Pro, AME immediately resumes and continues rendering.-Sometimes just clicking the AME window or switching focus makes it resume for a while, then it stalls again.-Exporting directly from Premiere sometimes works, but sending to AME is unreliable. What I’ve tried: -Changed Project Settings > Renderer. It was initially stuck on “None” with a tooltip saying the playback engine was active; after stopping playback and restarting I could change it, but the problem remains.-Toggled GPU acceleration on/off in both Premiere and AME.-Cleared Media Cache in both apps and deleted the folders manually.-Reset Premiere and AME preferences (
