Everytime I use media encoder it adds a bunch of seconds of black screen to the end of each edit. If i use premier exporter with the same footage it deosn't. Very annoying.

Mac book Pro M1 ULTRA

23.6.0 premier pro

23.6 media encoder

Thanks, if possible, please can you send us a small sample project together with the preset (Export Preset .epr file) and the footage to reproduce this here?

I have tried exporting with in and out points added and it still adds the black to the end of the edit (only in AME, not exporting through premier)

I have never imported a project into AME, I'll have a look at that.

I the preview in AME when i scrub along the footage there is no black space, just there once exported

Please can you send us the used project and preset file you are using. Your described behavior shouldn't occur normally. The only thing what comes into my mind is, that the outpoint of the exported sequence is beyond the end of the sequence. Please check, if you have enabled the workarea or if the sequence has in/out points set outside of the sequence footage end. In AME you can check it, if you open the export setting dialog for this item and check the below timeline out marker and the export area type. The last question is, if there is a differents by sending the sequence from PPro to AME or import it direct in AME.
