Codec settings lower right field with effects, audio, video tabs frozen

When opening the window to change settings of the codec, I can't change between the tabs for Effects, Audio, Video etc. I also don't see the settings to change the pixel measurements of the video. Usually I could scroll to get to all kind of settings. Now the lower right field of the window is totally frozen. Neither scrolling nor changing tabs works.
