DPX and CIN files are not able to be imported as Image Sequence

Media Encoder no longer is able to properly detect .dpx or .cin files as being image sequences on import.

The only option is to stitch the files.

AE can import these sequences as a sequence propertly.  ME can not!

This was working and now it's not.  Is this a licensing issue with Kodak or a bug or a coding oversite?

Which versionof Windows? Did you also try Windows 11?

I've tried this repeatedly on brand new machines with clean installs of CC 2023.  ME consistantly doesn't see .dpx or .cin as image sequences that have been created by AE.  I am doing the exact same steps as you.  I see Sequence not Availale where I should be able to select the sequence.  Same if I force the file type filter to .dpx / .cin... it sees the files but will not recognize them as a sequence.

Just retried on Windows 11. Working fine for me. Double click in queue. Select first dpx in sequence. Choose target format. Start queue.

It is not working for me on Windows and I have tested this on multiple machines.   I have tested both .dpx and .cin formats that were sucessfully rendered out of AfterEffects.

.tiffs, .png etc... all work fine from the exact same comps but rendered out .dpx or .cin, Media Encoder fails to see these as image sequences.

I just tried it. DPX image sequences just work fin in AME (Beta) on Mac. Just select the first image in a sequence when adding to the queue.

Do you have a CIN image sequence that you can share? I do not have any test media in that format. I can private mesage you with th instructions in this forum.
