Hello

So im getting a random "failed" error in media encoder when rendering my files

I can add the file to the queue again change no settings and its does it fine here are the settings:

Preset Used: Youtube
- Video: 2560x1440 (1.0), 60 fps, Progressive, 203 (75% HLG, 58% PQ), Hardware Encoding, Nvidia Codec, 00:14:25:11
- Audio: AAC, 320 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo
- Bitrate: CBR, Target 80.00 Mbps

As i say when it fails i can click duplicate in media encoder and it will try again and completes it fine

Any ideas why this happens

Yes have the latest operating system updates

I'm on windows 11

And I use game ready driver as I play games on this pc

All adobe software is up to date aswell

As I say its at the end when the error happens if it does and if I duplicate it and try again it usually works fine

What operating system are you on? Did you install the latest OS updates, AME updates, and GPU drivers?

Error 3 usually indicates corrupted source media or hardware/software issues while encoding. When the encoding attempt succeeds the second time, it is likely not a corrupted source file.

  • It could be a GPU driver issue. Try changing to software mode to verify if the issue goes away.
  • Also, it could be an encoding timing issue. You can set the priority of AME processes higher in the Task Manager.

Just to clarify the error happens at the when its encoding the file I see the video being rendered in the preview then when it gets to the end and I guess it's encoding it that's when it fails if it does
