Files being removed from queue on exit, when prefs say not to.

Files are being removed from queue when I Quit Media Encoder, but my ME Settings/General/Remove completed files from queue on exit box is unchecked.

I often want to modify a render setting, or view the log for one, and will have quit ME first.

Hi, thanks for your reply and sorry for the bad experience you have with AME because of that. Could you do me a favour and try the same with the latest beta? I cannot repro the removed batch items when checking the pref box.

The beta worked. Job stays in queue after done, and after AME restart.

I will have to reinstall 26.2.2 now though, as I loose the “Send to Media Encoder” button in Premiere unless it and AME match. (Had to drag project file from finder into beta AME to setup the render.)

So, we’ll see how it evolves.

Reinstalled and used 26.2.2 for 2 jobs. They stayed in queue after quite, restart AME. 👍

    Hi,
Chris from the AME Team here. I wonder why you have the version 26.2.2 build 2 installed, since our release build is 26.2.2 build 3. Could you double check if there’s a update in your Creative Cloud App? On my Mac I couldn’t repro that behaviour you described (tested with 26.2.2x3 and also latest beta version). There is also a way you can enter the settings without having to restart AME. By right click on the finished item you can “reset status”. You should be able to enter those settings again. Please reach out if you’re still facing issues.

Yes, I know I can Reset Status, if I can see the job. It’s when the job disappears that I can’t do that. I don’t restart AME to achieve anything in particular, just that I’m looking for a job from a previous day, or I quit it thinking render is good, then find I need to change something.

26.2.2 is all that is being offered currently to me:
