Interpret as... is broken again in AME 24.2.1

Will only render part of the clip when slowing down footage shot at 60fps to 23.976fps with 'Interpret as...' in AME. Both 'Source' and 'Output'  are set to 'Entire Clip'. This has been an issue before, but was fixed. Now it's broken again. Reverting to AME 2023 for now, where this works. MacOS 12.7.4 MacBook Pro M1Max 64GB RAM; AME 24.2.1

Thanks for the update. And btw, I tried to import the clips both ways, via Finder drag and drop, and also using the + sign in AME to add footage. Both ways render the clip wrong in AME 24.2.1 I remember there being a difference between these methods in a prior version of AME when using 'Interpret as...'.

We might already have a fix for the issue in the next available beta of AME (24.4x18 onwards).

Hi, thanks a lot for sending more infos. I can now clearly see the issue and will write a bug for it.

Just one more question. How do you import the files into Media Encoder? Through the Media Browser or from the file system (Finder)? Do you also see the issue when you import via Finder drag & drop?

To be more precise it renders a clip that is the expected length for a slowed down video from 59.94 to 23.976. But only half of that video is video, the rest is a frozen frame. When I revert to AME 23.6.4 everyting works fine.

I'm not on Beta, just 24.2.1 It renders only half the clip when using 'Interpret as...' from 59.94 to 23.976 If I don't use 'Interpret as...' it works fine and renders the whole clip. It will allow me to set the range to Entire Clip, but when I render it freezes the video halfway through.

Hi there,

I tried to repro what you are reporting what somehow couldn't see any differences between AME 23.5x to AME 24.3 beta

I imported a 59,94 fps file and interpreted it as 23,97 fps

Entering Export Setting the range was set to custom in AME 2023 and AME 2024.

You can still adjust the range to entire in both cases.

Could you provide detailed repro steps for me to help you figuring out what is wrong here?

Thanks!
