Media encoder 2023 show and then crashes. Mac Pro 2019 w/canon MXF

When transcoding from Canon MXF to ProRes 422. Media encoder seems to use excessive CPU resouces, is slow and then crashes part way though the batch convert. Wondering if other have had this problem and is Adobe aware of this? I'm using Mac OS Monterey 12.6.4
