Media Encoder back to stopping mid render

Version 23.5(Build 51)

Just stops mid render and doesn't move. Can leave for 12hrs overnight and it's still in the same spot the next day. Does it across multiple jobs regardless of content or files. Happens in around 75% of jobs.

This is the same thing is used to do 2-3 versions back. Can swap to Software renderer and it starts to run VERY VERY VERY slowly.

I am very sorry for your issues. Would you be able to share the files you need to repro the issue? I would like to look into the issue. I can send you a private message in this forum with instructions.

I'm also having this same problem with Media Encoder 23.5 (51). My spec is:

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019)

3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

The renders seem to freeze after about ten minutes, and eventually it seems to crash and all the programs shut down unexpectedly. It happens with both 'Create Proxies' from Premiere, and if I manually place files for transcode within Media Composer myself. I'm transcoding to ProRes LT Quicktime files.

A fix to this would be great.

Thanks

Jack

I have done it with a standard H264 preset. Still the same result. At the moment I can only get one render out then I have to do a full restart to get it to work again. It gets to 50-75% of the way through and just stops.

Can you try a H.264 standard preset to see if it there is an issue with your custom preset?

Machine -

12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-12900KF 3.20 GH

64 GB RAM

3080 Ti

All drives M2

Happens when rendering targets to H264 or H265 content.Source files are typically a combination of H264 movies and PNG sequences. The Presets are our own, but just standard H264, 25Mbps, CBR, Rec 709.

I am sorry to hear that. Which machine spec? Which source & target format? Which preset?
