In the prefs section of ME there is a toggle that asks to add increment if saving file same name. I turn this off, because I want that exisiting file overwritten but I get that damn sheep!!! Please fix so when it is off, i can overwrite files already there!!! TY

Hi,

I know it is the general pref you are referring to. Still, having more info on the actual encoding preset you used could help us narrow down the issue. Some encoders multiplex at the end others don't, etc.
So I just tested with a random mp4 file and encoded it to QT Prores 422LT onto my desktop. Then I took the same file, same preset and chose the same output path (Desktop). Dialog appeared to warn, that a file already exist and will be overwritten. I conformed, started the job and the was was overwritten.

It's not a preset... it's in the prefs section.

Hi,

I just tried overwriting my output (Mac Arm M4 with AME 26.0 beta / QT file) and it did work. Could you please add more info on:

- Preset
- Source File

- location of File (network or locally)

- AME version

- OS Plattform

Thank you!
