adobe audition is frozen

I’m having issues with Audition.  I was able to use it for 10 minutes today, but then it froze.  When I tried to restart it, it will still be frozen.  I can’t even send any bug or error reports.  I tried using previous versions of Audition and they too weren’t working.  I spent like 1 or 2 hours trying to get this software to work.  I tried updating all the versions of Audition and they still freeze.  I posted a video here of what I’m experiencing so you get an idea.

    It’s 3:21 AM on Feburary 12, 2026 and I’m having this same issue of Adobe Audition freezing again.

    If it’s freezing at that point on all versions, then I suspect (can’t be sure...) that this may be an authentication issue. When was the last time you checked for updates on the CC app itself? First thing to do is update that, and try again. If, after that, it doesn’t work, then use the Adobe CCcleaner app to uninstall, and then reinstall as normal.

    I’m wary to do that because I have saved settings.  The problem is that if it has problems on the 2026 version it will also have problems on the 2025 version and 2024 version as well.
