Audition 25.3.0.71 Crashes When Changing Paintbrush Selection Size

Title pretty much says it all, but here are some specific steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Adobe Audition
  2. Create a new, 32-bit audio file.
  3. Generate a tone so there is some waveform data.
  4. Select the Paintbrush Selection tool and adjust the Size parameter by click-dragging the number or directly typing into the field. This immediately crashes Adobe Audition on my machine.

I can sometimes adjust the Size parameter if I am editing an empty 16-bit file with nothing else open in Audition. I have not tried other bitrates or scenarios.

Here's some basic system information. In case it matters, I'm using a third-generation Focusrite 2i2 as my audio input and output device, driver version 4.119.13.33 from 11/27/2023. I hope this helps!

Hi @Enumcluck,

I heard from the team. It's fixed in Beta. Can you check it out?

Thanks,
Kevin

It's known about. If you look in the 'trending' panel to the right of the thread, you'll find another two threads about this, both with a lot of replies. As far as Adobe is concerned, I'm afraid that I have no idea of its current status.
