Audition crashes every time I try to open it, even with multiple re-installs and restarts. Generates files as seen in screen shot.

What you need to do is read the instructions at the bottom of this FAQ and copy and paste the crash file data into this thread. That way we might be able to work out at least where the problem is...

.acr file is usually a Camera Raw file, which shouldn’t have anything to do Audition as far as I know.

I don’t know what a .envelope file is.

Can you give us the details of your system? What OS, etc.
