Cannot export a mixdown

I created a new session today using a template that I have used many times before. When I go to export the mixdown, it starts exporting, and then the time remaining just keeps jumping up and it never exports. I tried a fresh session with no effects. I updated Audition. Tried exporting as .wav instead of .mp3. Opened an old session that I have exported in the past. Same thing happens every time. Anyone else experiencing this issue? I'm on an M1 mac running Sonoma 14.0. Macos update is new and that's the only thing I can think of that has changed.

Yes, Adobe Media Encoder is installed. I updated it yesterday and tried to export both before and after the update. Option was always grayed out.

I'm exporting to an external drive, where the session files are stored. This is my standard practice.

System:

Apple M1 Chip

MacOS Sonoma 14.0

Audio hardware, session: see screenshots.

Session file: emailed.

Hi Jessica,

Do you have Adobe Media Encoder installed?
and Also share the system and audio hardware details.
Are you trying to export to an external drive or an internal drive?

Can you send me a sample session file to audbugs@adobe.com

Thank you for this response! Unfortunately, this did not work.

-Option to export to Adobe Media Encoder is greyed out

-Resetting preferences seemed to slightly increase the amount of time before the error, but still no export

-I'm not using a VST plugin

Any other suggestions?

Hi Jesica,

Are you able to export other old sesion?

Try to export the session using Adobe Media Encoder.

if you are working with VST plugin then try to bounse the track on which VST plusign are used.

Try to reset Audition preferences

Updating to add: I am able to open a clip and "save selection as" to save an .mp3 with no issues
