Clicking anywhere outside the "In and Out" area clears the In and Out points

App version: 25.3.0.71

Platform: Mac Sequoia 15.5

TL:DR; Clicking anywhere outside an area specificed by the In and Out points clears the In and Out.

I'm EQing a multi-track project with various interviews, each on its own separate track so I can EQ the track rather than multiple clips. I've got looping turned on to allow for continuous playback of short areas, and I'm using the In and Out points (set with "I" and "O") to specify the area to loop.

The problem I'm having is whenever I click anywhere outside of the area enclosed by the In and Out points (say, to select the track I want to EQ without selecting the clip within the track specifically), the In and Out points are instantly cleared, and I have to set them again to loop the area I want.

I can't think of a way this is a useful feature, given how easy it is to accidentally clear the area I just established, and there are already keyboard shortcuts specifically for clearing In and Out, so I figure this must be a bug.

I don't know who moved it (wasn't me) but I've moved it back for you.

To the moderator who moved this post to "Ideas" because you thought it was a feature request:

This is not a feature request. I'm not asking for it to be possible to clear the In and Out points by clicking anywhere outside them. That's already what happens: the In and Out points are cleared whenever you click outside the area between them. And that's the bug I was reporting. That shouldn't happen, I would think. It's annoying to have to reestablish the In and Out points every time I accidentally click somewhere outside of them and clear them.
