Individual Track markers and Timeline causing slow down. and crashes.

Audition 24.*.*

windows 64 bit.

Every time i click on of off a file it loads a new set of markers for the project. one for the timeline then ones for the file selected.
This is, I believe causeing some issues, and after some time the software starts to lock up, show fonts weirdly and not even print the menu text on screen. Until it locks up fully and crashes. ( iusually save and quit now before this happens - every 15-40 minutes)

Can we get a toggle to turn of file markers and only display timeline ones. Please?

I do not need markers on indvdual files. It's really effecting my workflow.

This is still an issue.

A toggle for clip markers to be turned off would solve this for users who use a lot of session markers, or a seperate window for session markers so they don't have to keep being unloaded, or just keeping them loaded in the background. anything.

Please.

I have found a way to make the slow down dissapear.

It's the Markers window. When I close the Marker's window suddenly clicking on a file and then the timeline doesn't take a full second it's instant. When I open it again I get a slight hang.

So something about the new subclip markers is causing a 'hitch' of sorts.
It's not an ideal fix, as I do use in the excess of 100-200 markers a project. But while I'm doing my first pass, it will be fine for now. Would lovea toggle or even a seperate window option for just timeline markers. that way it won't have to keep trying to load the ones for subclips.

I only get slow down when i use 23.3 or above, and only when i have lots of clips in the file.

It gets to the point of being unsuable. BUT if I use 23.2 is smooth.

Getting it to crash takes about 2 hours of active editing. but the slow down is getting insane.

If Audition actually crashes, can you copy the text of the Crash log (available from the Help menu) and post it in this thread? We might get a clearer idea of what is happening then.

I do not have this issue on previous versions of Audition.
