Problem with delayed playback when using Focusrite audio interface

Hi there!

I'm having some trouble with the audio playback inside Audition when using my focusrite Scarlett 6i6 interface.

When I hit the spacebar for the playback in a multitrack session, the audio arrives with a slight delay in relation to the "head thingy" that slides over the track. That makes podcast editing quite hard. However, when I hit the spacebar a second time, then the audio shows no delay.

Any ideas on what could be happening? 

I'm using windows 10 and audition 2022.
