Resizing the healing brush causes Audition to crash

I’m using Audition 2025. A few days ago Audition seemed to reset itself (?) and I lost some preferences – I’ve been using the 2025 version for at least the last five months. I’ve tried resizing the healing brush three times with the result being an immediate crash. Just opening a file, hitting the [B] hotkey and resizing it up from 30 to around 50/60 is enough for the program to shut down and an error report prompt to appear.

    I see that the latest updated, 25.6, addresses issues with "brush usage"

    I have the exact same issue on one of the PCs I work on at a workplace, and I believe that it's a bug that Adobe needs to fix/patch asap...

    Running on windows 11 latest update, up to today, 11/11/2025.

    and Latest Nvidia driver - Studio Driver - 581.57

    Still happening 11/7/2025. Windows 11 and Macbook Pro (M4 Max 14-Core Chip). Cannot resize using hotkeys, sliding the pixel bar, or typing in desired size. Sent in the crash report multiple times over the month.

    This worked for me: I reopened the .wav file and saved it as an .mp3. I was able to resize the brush size and make my edits without crashing.

    Same: Spot Healing Brush crashes Audition when resized (any resize). Windows 11. It is a common issue. I do not have permission to share logs. Waiting for Adobe to fix it...
